A single 140kW Archimedean Screw Turbine, approximately 4.1m in diameter and 7.5 m long, is proposed to ensure that the project is financially viable and has little impact on the existing infrastructure, no excavation of the river bank shall take place. A new fish pass would be installed beside the turbine approximately 1.8m wide and 31 m long, this would have 2 flights of Larinier super active baffles with one rest pool, approximately 3m in length. A parting wall between the fish-pass and the turbine flows will allow fish to swim away from the flow entering the hydropower system. The hydro scheme will generate approximately 790MWh/Yr of renewable energy, saving 450 tonnes of CO2 per year.
