River Thames
Hallidays Hydropower are working on a large project on the River Thames for a private client. The proposed plan would make it the largest hydro screw installation in the UK at 340kW. Unlike most large weir installations, which are situated in the weir itself, our installation is proposed to be located off weir. This allows for larger turbines to be installed without increasing flood risk to the area.
This project is predicted to generate in the region of 1,350,000 kWh per annum, bringing in a revenue of approx £150,000 a year.
