This is a project for private clients who have lovingly restored the mill house themselves. Their next target is to install a screw to once again utilise the power of the water that flows through the property. This inspirational family are confidently stepping into the world of renewable energy. They will be saving appoximately 34 tonnes of carbon per annum alongside replacing 75% of their electricity bills every year, safeguarding themselves against rising energy prices and generating an income through the FITs.
The scheme has a head of 2.03m and a design flow of 1m3/s. It should generate appox 80,000kWh which equates to £18,500 per year.
